The location of “Point Nemo”. Also called “Oceanic pole of inaccessibility”, it is in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean. It’s not a place that humans live – in fact there’s there is no land there – not an island, not even a small rock. It is actually the remotest place from any human civilization you can find on Earth. It lies at least 2,688 km (1,670 mi) from the nearest land.

Marie Skłodowska Curie was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the first person and only woman to win twice, the only person to win a Nobel Prize in two different sciences, and was part of the Curie family legacy of five Nobel Prizes.

Suffering from poor health and old wounds, on October 15, 1817, Kościuszko died in Solothurn at age 71 after falling from a horse, developing a fever, and suffering a stroke a few days later.

Jan Szczepanik was a Polish inventor, with several hundred patents and over 50 discoveries . Some of his concepts helped the future evolution of TV broadcasting, such as the telectroscope (an apparatus for distant reproduction of images and sound using electricity) or the wireless telegraph, which greatly affected the development of telecommunications.

Her first daughter, Irene, decided to follow her mother's life path and received the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1935. Her second daughter, Eva, a writer and politician, was known as the "First Lady of UNICEF". She was also nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 1944.
