Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. Mars has two Moons, Phobos and Deimos. They were both discovered in 1877, by Asaph Hall at the Naval Observatory in Washington DC.

Mars ma dwa małe księżyce o nieregularnych kształtach, których orbity są bardzo bliskie planety: Fobosa i Deimosa. Mogą być one przechwyconymi planetoidami lub ciałami utworzonymi z materii wyrzuconej przez uderzenia z powierzchni planety.

Mars besitzt nur zwei Monde, Phobos und Deimos. Ihre Namen entstammen der griechischen Mythologie. Phobos und Deimos waren einst die Söhne von Mars und Venus. Die Marsmonde sind erst recht spät entdeckt worden, nämlich von Asaph Hall im Jahr 1877.
