The Dhole is found in Central, South and Southeast Asia. It lives in a variety of habitats, including rainforest and grasslands. This large member of the dog family can weigh up to 40 kg (88 lb); around twice the weight of a Coyote. Dholes resemble members of the Canis genus, and have fox-like reddish fur and bushy tails.The Dhole is a social animal, living in packs of around 12, but sometimes forming larger groups of 30 to 40 animals.
