Greta morgane is a diurnal butterfly of the subfamily Milkweed butterflies, or Danainae. It is one of the few butterfly species with wings that are completely transparent apart from the margins. The distribution area extends from Central America to the south of Texas.

Motyl szklanoskrzydły - Greta oto, zamieszkuje Amerykę Środkową. Rozpiętość jego bajkowych skrzydeł sięga 6 cm. Drapieżniki unikają tych motyli ze względu na trujące alkaloidy zawarte w ich tkankach. Gąsienice przyswajają te związki żerując na krzewach cestrum.

Greta morgane ist ein tagaktiver Schmetterling aus der Unterfamilie Danainae. Er gehört zu den sehr wenigen Schmetterlingsarten mit bis auf die Randbereiche völlig durchsichtigen Flügeln. Das Verbreitungsgebiet zieht sich von Mittelamerika bis in den Süden von Texas (USA).
