When did The War of Spartacus take place?
The War of Spartacus was the last in a series of slave rebellions against the Roman Republic, known collectively as the Servile Wars. Within two years, the army led by Spartacus has reached over 100,000 men and became a serious threat to the Romans. The rebellion was eventually annihilated by Crassus, and most of the rebel slaves were killed on the battlefield, while some 6,000 survivors were captured and crucified.
