Which snooker player has won the most World Championship titles?
Stephen Hendry
Steve Davis
Joe Davis
Fred Davis
Joe Davis between 1927 (first ever played) and 1946 has won this title 15 times in a row, excluding WWII years of course. Back then snooker wasn't as popular as it is now, so gaining the title was much easier. In the most packed tournament only 12 players participated, and on two occasions there was just a final match played.
