Snow questions

In Scandinavia, road signs have a yellow color instead of white on warning and prohibition signs. This is for the purpose of enhancing the visibility of the sign during the winter, as white signs would be hard to see in the snow.

Telemark is a form of downhill skiing using bindings where the boot is attached only at the toe (similar to those of Cross-country skiing). It came to the attention of the Norwegian public in 1868, when Sondre Norheim took part in a ski jumping competition. Norheim's technique of fluid turns soon dominated skiing. Starting in the 1910s, newer techniques based on the stem gradually replaced Telemark in the Alpine countries, as easier to master and more suitable for steep slopes.

As the rabbit runs its rear legs land in front of its front paws, therefore the rear tracks indicate the direction of travel. The position of the front and rear paws is closer together as the rabbit slows down and further apart as it speeds up.
