In September. The world's largest beer festival once took place in October, but was eventually prolonged and moved ahead to September to allow for better weather conditions. Today, the last day of the festival is the first Sunday in October.

With gin and vermouth. The traditional method of preparation is to pour gin and dry vermouth into a mixing glass with ice cubes, stir, strain into chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with a green olive or a twist of lemon peel. James Bond famously drinks a "Vodka Martini, shaken not stirred", which is not a typical recipe.

In Munich. The Oktoberfest is not only the largest beer festival, but also the world's largest fair in general, with more than 6 million people from around the world attending the event every year. It is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810.
