Camponotus ligniperda - this species of ant from Formicinae subfamily is the largest Polish and European ant. There are several so-called castes among these ants. It builds nests in the rotted tree trunks. It shows no aggression towards people, except for extreme situations like nest demage.

Ticks belong to arachnids, not insects. They have 4 pairs of legs, which gives up to 8 limbs.

The cougar is more closely related to smaller felines, including the domestic cat, than to any species of subfamily Pantherinae (of which only the jaguar is native to the Americas).

Moles are adapted to survive in low-oxygen environments such as underground burrows. They tolerate higher levels of carbon dioxide than other mammals because their blood cells contain a special form of hemoglobin.
