South Africa is the only country to have three capital cities, a unique arrangement designed to share power across all regions. The capital cities of South Africa are Pretoria (executive), Bloemfontein (judicial), and Cape Town (legislative).

Ashgabat is the capital and the largest city of Turkmenistan in Central Asia, situated between the Karakum Desert and the Kopet Dag mountain range.The city was founded in 1881, and made the capital of the Turkmen Soviet Socialist Republic in 1924. Much of the city was destroyed by the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake but has since seen extensive renovation under President Saparmurat Niyazov's urban renewal project. The Karakum Canal runs through the city, carrying waters from the Amu Darya from east to west.

Valletta is the capital city of Malta. Located in the south east of the island. Valletta is the southernmost capital of Europe. Valletta's 16th-century buildings were constructed by the Knights Hospitaller. The city is Baroque in character, with elements of Mannerist, Neo-Classical and Modern architecture. The city was officially recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980

Santiago is the capital and largest city of Chile as well as one of the largest cities in the Americas. It is the center of Chile's largest and most densely populated conurbation, the Santiago Metropolitan Region, whose total population is 7 million. The city is entirely located in the country's central valley.

Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia as it is the seat of the country's government. Belgrade is also the largest city in the country, occupying an area of 138.98 square miles and having a population of over 1.166 million inhabitants. Belgrade is the economic hub of Serbia, with most local companies found in the city. Belgrade is also the cultural heart of the country and hosts many important cultural events

Thimphu is the capital and largest city of the Kingdom of Bhutan. It is situated in the western central part of Bhutan. The ancient capital city of Punakha was replaced as capital by Thimphu in 1955, and in 1961 Thimphu was declared as the capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan by His Majesty the 3rd Druk Gyalpo Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

Muscat is the capital and largest city of Oman. It is the seat of the Governorate of Muscat. The origin of the word Muscat is disputed. Some authors claim that the word has Arabic origins – from moscha, meaning an inflated hide or skin. Other authors claim that the name Muscat means anchorage or the place of "letting fall the anchor". Other derivations include muscat from Old Persian, meaning strong-scented, or from Arabic, meaning falling-place, or hidden.

Florida is the third most populous state in the USA. The state is found in the Southeastern part of the country.The capital of this state is Tallahassee which was officially declared as the capital in the year 1824.

Bogota is located in central Colombia on the high plateau of Bogotá savanna in the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes, making it the second highest ((8,660 feet above sea level) capital city of South America after Quito. The city occupies an area of 1,587 square km in Colombia.

Jaunde is capital and the second largest city of Cameroon (2,8 million people). It was created in 1888 by German traders of ivory. It was occupied by Belgium through first world war. In 1922 Jaunde became the capital of the territory of the mandate League of Nations under French administration. After achieving independent in 1960 Jaunde became capital of Cameroon.
