Who originated the theory of continental drift?

Richard Klebs
Andrija Mohorovičić
Alfred Wegener
Emil Wiechert
Alfred Wegener was a German polar researcher, geophysicist and meteorologist. His theory of continental drift from 1912 was controversial and not widely accepted until the 1950s, when numerous discoveries provided strong support for the theory, and thereby a substantial basis for today's model of plate tectonics.
