A biscuit is a flour-based baked food product. This article covers the type of biscuit found in Africa, Asia and Europe, which is typically hard, flat and unleavened. In North America, a biscuit is typically a soft, leavened quick bread, and is covered in the article Biscuit (bread).

This is the bust of Louis Braille, a French educator and inventor of a system of reading and writing for use by the blind or visually impaired. His system remains virtually unchanged to this day, and is known worldwide simply as braille.

Mitoraj's sculptural style is rooted in the classical tradition with its focus on the well modelled torso. Often his works aim to address the questions of human body, its beauty and fragility. His sculptures, often gigantic in size, stand in the representative spots of many cities - including in Paris on La Défense and in Rome, London, Krakow, USA and Japan.

Horse (Czech Kůň) is a sculpture of the Czech artist David Černy made in 1999, located in Lantern Palace, Wenceslas Square 38, Prague. The Palace was built by Vácslav Havel, the grandfather of Václav Havel, the later president of the Czech Republic. This statue is supposed to symbolize the Czech tolerance to touching their delicate national subjects and the high level of Czech autoirony. The statue's installation was supported by the Palace's owner and Václav Havel's sister-in-law, Dagmar Havlová.

Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss is regarded as a masterpiece of Neoclassical sculpture, but shows the mythological lovers at a moment of great emotion, characteristic of the emerging movement of Romanticism. It represents the god Cupid in the height of love and tenderness, immediately after awakening the lifeless Psyche with a kiss.

Although the vast majority of cenotaphs honour individuals, many noted cenotaphs are instead dedicated to the memories of groups of individuals, such as the lost soldiers of a country or of an empire.

The ushabti was a funerary figurine used in Ancient Egypt. Ushabtis were placed in tombs among the grave goods and were intended to act as servants or minions for the deceased, should they be called upon to do manual labor in the afterlife. The figurines frequently carried a hoe on their shoulder and a basket on their backs, implying they were intended to farm for the deceased.

The Fountain of the Fallen Angel by Ricardo Bellver (1845–1924) is the only well known public monument of the devil. It was erected in 1922 in Retiro Park in Madrid. The sculpture was inspired by a passage from John Milton's Paradise Lost and represents Lucifer falling from Heaven.

The harp is an attribute of David. According to the Bible, David was famed before he killed Goliath for his bravery and for his skill with the harp. "whenever the spirit from God came upon (King) Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him."

There is only one ahu (group of statues), Ahu Akivi, with moai facing the ocean. It is unusual also by being one of the few inland ahus. At all other ahus (including all coastal ones) moai face inland.
