Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance. Will Smith is an American actor, producer, rapper, comedian, and songwriter. He has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and two Academy Awards, but never won one. In 1989 Smith, as a part of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, received the first Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance.
