The most difficult history of cars riddles

Auto Union was the predecessor of Audi. The car was extremely difficult to handle, but its tremendous power and acceleration were undeniable - a driver could induce wheelspin at over 100 mph (160 km/h). Silver arrows of Auto Union and Mercedes Benz dominated car racing until the outbreak of World War II.

Most of old car manufacturer companies started as factories producing bicycles, or even sewing machines as was in the case of Opel. Henry Ford established his enterprise relatively late, starting with cars. On the photo: Opel bike.

Jaguar was founded as the Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922, originally making motorcycle sidecars. In 1945 the company changed its name to Jaguar Cars Ltd, because of the connotations of the use of the SS name by Nazi Germany.
