Magellan's expedition of 1519–1522 became the first expedition to circumnavigate the Earth. But Magellan himself did not complete the entire voyage, being killed during the Battle of Mactan in the Philippines.

A expedição de Magalhães de 1519–1522 tornou-se a primeira viagem de circum-navegação à Terra. Mas o próprio Magalhães não chegou a completar a viagem, sendo morto durante a batalha de Mactan, nas Filipinas.
